Christmas at the Manning House

Christmas at the Manning House
Thank you to everyone who attended Christmas at the Manning House 2025! Thank you to our partners in the event, Manchester Historic Association and Dew Collective.
Guests were met by carolers at the doors of the Manning House. Mrs. Manning's servants greeted guests at the large wooden doors of the Manning House, and they were transported back to 1925. The smell of fresh pine and gingerbread greeted them as Mary Manning welcomed her guests into her landmark home to enjoy a holiday celebration. Calvin Coolidge was president. The Jazz Age and the Art Deco movement were in full swing, and The Great Gatsby was just published. Guests found out what Christmas in Manchester was like a century ago.
This was a limited, timed ticketed engagement with tours at the top of every hour from 1 - 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The 45 -minute tours of the Manning House were given by Mary Manning, played by a living history interpreter from the Manchester Historic Association. The halls were marvelously decked by Dew Collective, and festive refreshments were served following the tour. The event was handicap accessible from the ramp door next to the Thrift Shop. Proceeds go to the restoration and preservation of the Manning House.
