Pastor
Rev. Dr. Dawn Berry
phone: 603-669-2807 ext. 101
Welcome to Brookside where there is room to grow, room to serve and room for you! I have been serving this United Church of Christ congregation as pastor and teacher since November 23, 2008. I am blessed to be among a people of God who value vibrant worship; interactive and stimulating educational ministries for ages 4 through adulthood; safe, loving childcare for infants through age 3; support of each other through a Called to Care Ministry; and an extravagant outreach to Manchester and beyond through our mission giving and personal participation. I have served three congregations in northern New England and led mission trips within and beyond the borders of the United States through the United Church of Christ. I have a Masters of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Bangor Theological Seminary. I am married to Greg, and we have a terrific son Nathan who is married to Jennifer, our favorite daughter! Sadie, our Bichon Frise, sometimes accompanies me to the office. When you worship with Brookside, please introduce yourself to me. |

In addition to her work at Brookside, Kim is a private piano teacher, Musical Director for the Amherst Middle School Theater Club, and accompanist for the Milford High School Chorus. She recently completed 10 year positions as Organist/Handbell Choir Director at the Congregational Church in Amherst, NH and as accompanist for the Merrimack Chorus. In her spare time, she tours with the Merrimack Valley Ringers, an auditioned handbell choir, and tries to spend as much time as humanly possible with her husband Derek and their two precious girls, Kyra and Isabelle. The Whitehead's reside in Milford.

Church School Coordinator
Rev. Fran Hakenson
phone: 603-669-2807 ext. 104
Rev. Fran Hakenson is
the Church School Coordinator. Fran is a retired UCC pastor,
who has served churches in Vermont and New York. Over the last
three decades she has had extensive experience in the area of
Christian Education and has been a valued and valuable asset
to Brookside Congregational Church, where she holds her church
membership. Through
her efforts we have a well-established Faith Formation program
for children 3 years old through 7th grade, a program called
Rotational Workshops. In
this program the children focus on one Biblical theme for 4
to 6 weeks. Every Sunday the children attend a workshop
on the selected theme. They hear the Bible story that is the
basis of the Unit and participate in an activity that reinforces
the theme. Based on the Multiple Intelligence theory, workshops
include art, cooking, games, music, science, storytelling, and
video.
Fran is the mother of six and has 17 living grandchildren. When she is not involved in church activities she is usually quilting, knitting, cooking, or taking care of grandchildren.
